These guitars belong to Steve. The sunburst already appears on this site, but he just bought the black one. It is a beautiful all original 74. It came and went on ebay and he was the winner....the bugger!
For a closer look at these guitars check out the
Factoids page.
This guitar belongs to Armand in Belgium (thats him on the left).
Looks like a 74 with a spruce top. There are some pretty obvious mods that have been done, but they were not done by Armond. He bought the guitar as is 20 years ago and plays it regularly in his blues band.
This was for sale at a shop in the Netherlands.
It was posted there for a very long time. Probably because they want a whopping $2700 US. Whereabouts unknown. .
This guitar was sold on Ebay in Aug 2004. It's the only one we have seen with a bound cutout and different inlays. It may be a prototype. Framus used a similar guitar in their ads in the 70's,  but this is the first that has surfaced.
Although there is a
picture out there of Jan Akkerman playing one very similar. Maybe this is it!?
There are 2 volume/tone controls that are after market as well as the bridge and mico switches.
Don't know about the 3-way. Pickups are different as well, but probably original.
Note the truss plate doesn't have "Akkerman by Framus" etched on.
This one was sold in Germany. Don't know the price or who bought it. The seller did a nice job with the ad!
